I'm a strategic advisor, interim manager and consultant on retail excellence, innovation and growth, with a particular focus on product & merchandising, operational excellence, omnichannel sales&marketing as well as customer experience within the fashion and lifestyle retailing industry.
Prior to launching my own company, I was Vice President Multichannel Retail Excellence for the ottogroup, Germany's largest privately owned retail and retail related service company with over 13 billion Euro turnover, being responsible for prestigious national and international retail brands within the interior design, fashion, sports and lifestyle industry.
During my nearly 20 years in retail I was able to built the global retail network for Hugo Boss. Creating and implementing structures, tools and systems as well as establishing an efficient and consumer focused retail organization were one of the key achievements. Our success was based on a well calibrated format and module strategy including core assortments for the various regions and channels, combined with a strong integrated sales approach with all downstream functions (Visual Merchandising, Training & Development, Marketing, CRM, Shop Design/Construction, Supply, Logistics etc.).
As the Director Merchandise & Buying EMEA I achieved best-in-class retail performance by creating a high performing pan-European retail organization, leveraging buying and merchandising and implementing a vertical collection throughout Europe, MiddleEast and Africa.
My MBA (Diplom Kaufmann) is from Goethe University Frankfurt/Main with emphasis on Marketing and Retail.
Several publications on the future of retail have been published in the press as well as key notes speeches at major retail conferences and events.
